Russell Williams

How low can one individual sink? Could anyone on earth be lower than Russell Williams? I don't think so. This is pretty much the bottom of the garbage can on a hot summer day, you know that garbage-juice-liquid and sticky stuff at the bottom of the garbage dumpster after the garbage truck passes and empties the trashbags? Well if you scrape that gunk off you will find Russell Williams underneath it, and he's worth a lot less.

I'd like to say RIP to his victims, but that seems inadequate for what I feel when I think about those young women and what they went through at the hands of an indescribably evil, revolting excuse for a human. It's for people like Jessica and Marie-France I hope there's a heaven and a beautiful place where they can find peace. It's for people like despicable excrement Russell Williams that I hope there's a HELL where torments last eternity. Least he'll get a taste of it over next 25 years, rotting like garbage in Kingston penitentiary. I think death would be better than 23 hours a day in a 6 by 11 foot cell, or however big they are. I dunno but that cell looks a little bit too cozy and cushy for the likes of Williams; a coffin seems more fitting.

At least we can take some comfort knowing Williams will find himself in the company of such sweethearts as Paul Bernardo, Clifford Olson. I mean, if you could choose to spend every day for the rest of your life with any person living or dead, why wouldn't it be either or both of them?

What kind of a sick, fucked up world do we live in where people commit atrocities on this scale? Williams was discovered but, like earwigs and roaches, for every one you find there are a dozen more hidden away someplace. That thought keeps me up at night. I was at home today and I felt like turning on the alarm, with me INSIDE the house, and locking all the doors. I'm gonna get Gomez to install a bar on the downstairs bedroom window. I'm traumatized just from hearing about this case.

The sickest thing is how normal he seems on the police videos of his confession. He just seems like your average guy, a man you would see anywhere at work or a shopping mall or anyplace. Nothing about him seems unusual or monstrous externally. You would think that a person capable of committing heinous acts would show some outward sign, but clearly no. Isn't that always the case with these killers? Isn't that what his neighbours, his own wife said as well?

Great, now I have to go to sleep. Pleasant dreams, me.
