I Hate Rememberence Day

I hate Rememberence Day. Every year around what could be a great time of year - Halloween - we're assaulted by these dour-faced veterans pushing poppies, making you feel guilty if you pass by their table without buying one. And that at a hefty price. Why can't we just enjoy Halloween without these people all in our faces? They're like charity grubbers but much worse. They push their stupid Remembrence Day in an effort to usurp Halloween, Halloween is fun. Rememberence day is shit. I don't give a rat's ass about veterans, sorry. Soldiers aren't special people. They're people who were used to promote political ideologies of different times. What they fought for yesterday prolly isn't even important anymore today. Who cares about them? I know I don't. I don't wear the poppy at all and I don't care about rememberence day. I'm sorry people died but the lesson is, don't trade your life for some stupid political ideology that will be outdated in 10 years. Don't be a dumbass. I hate Rememberence day time of year because you're made to feel so guilty if you don't do as the veterans want - which is buy a poppy from every fucking stand you pass. No, I don't appreciate the veterans sacrifice. I know that makes me a horrid person. I don't agree with war. It wasn't their fighting that gave us what we have today, it was political ideologies. If you can't see that you are stupid.
